ALG10 Breathing Air Purifier
The ALG10 breathing air purifier was developed jointly by Safewell and Donaldson Filtration Solutions to satisfy the requirements of the oil and gas industry.
The product is field proven in 100's of applications such as shot blasting, painting, vessel entry and in a range of situtations where safe air is required for respiratory requirements.
The ALG10 provides a number of benefits to the user including:
High Margin of Safety - the ALG10 provides complete purification of compressed air to breathing air standards in accordance with EN12021:1998 and does so with a high margin of safety i.e. it has been designed for applications where the quality of the compressed air supplied from the compressor cannot be guaranteed in any way so a worst case assumption is employed. This is ideal for deployment on offshore platforms and rigs where the quality of compressed air is seen to vary widely.
Multi Stage Air Purification - the ALG10 product purifies compressed air for breathing in six stages including removal of bulk water, oil, solid particles, reduction in water vapour content to a pressure dewpoint of -40 Deg C, reduction of carbon dioxide below 500 ml / m3, reduction of carbon monoxide below 5 ml / m3, reduction of oil vapours and hydrocarbons below 0.003 mg / m3 and removal of fine particles before the air is supplied to the breathing air mask.
ATEX Zone 2 Approved - The ALG10 unit is ATEX approved for use in zone 2 areas Ex11 3GD T6 +4°C<=Ta<=+50°C. This makes it easier to deploy the ALG10 in zone 2 designated areas on oil and gas installations.
Other benefits include fully pneumatic operation, small footprint, capacity to supply breathing quality air simultaneously to 2 operatives using air fed masks, easy to operate and maintain providing reliable and safe long term operation.
