Pure Drinking Water
Clean, pure water is an essential requirement for all life on the planet. Even in 2009 a large percentage of the world population do not have access to fresh drinking water free of contaminants causing a clear risk to health. Contaminated drinking water can have an immediate effect on human well being causing serious illness and death. Untreated water may have a range of contaminants such as suspended solids, heavy metals, colour, bacteria and pathogens. It may also be too acidic to drink or lack oxygen and freshness.
Working with trusted and experienced partners, SafeWell provides unique integrated solutions for treating drinking water to acceptable International quality standards. One of these solutions is a unique tablet dosing system which can be used to disinfect drinking water without electricity. It uses slow dissolving calcium hypochlorite tablets. The product is used widely in the UK for secondary disinfection of service reservoirs. SafeWell has developed a complete method statement and risk assessment for the implementation of the product on 100's of service reservoirs throughout the UK including mounting of the dosing unit in a LPC4 certified cabinet on the reservoir roof. A range of equipment sizes using 7, 20 and 300 gram tablets is available depending on the volume of water to be treated.
