People tend to assume that captains start all voyages by announcing to the passengers and crew where their destination is - and good captains might do this but great captains do it a little differently. They start every journey by making sure they’ve got the right people on board, in the right cabins and at the right stations, before they focus on their direction. And the same goes for great business leaders who are clear on their destination but also know the importance of having the right crew on board.
