The Safewell Solutions ATEX Certified Breathing Air Compressor is a fully integrated product for respiratory protection whenever compressed air is used for breathing support. The intelligently designed product provides breathing quality compressed air in accordance with the European Standard BS EN 12021:2014 and ensures all known risk factors are identified and mitigated.

Integrating proven Safewell ALG Purification Technology with a compact, modern electric compressor, the ATEX zone 1 compliant product ensures the end user is safe when exposed to ATEX defined zone 1 or zone 2 ambient environments containing explosive gas both onshore and offshore.

The design of the ATEX Zone 1 Compressor ensures that the interface between the compressor and the ALG type purifier is managed safely with enhanced air cooling and efficient removal of compressor condensate. The product has been independently validated to the Safety Integrity Level 2 functional safety control system in accordance with IEC 61508 and the machinery directive IEC 62061.
