An effective holistic risk management process requires testing the air quality at a frequency determined during risk assessment to assure the safety of the compressed breathing air.

The Safewell APA is classed as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and is easy to use, providing reliable and effective testing of compressed breathing air quality in accordance with International Standards and proving the performance of the safety barrier used between the compressor and the lungs of those breathing from the compressor.

The Safewell® Mk3 Air Purity Analyser tests the quality of compressed air used for respiratory protection (RPE) and used in industrial processes. Air purity testing is essential to ensure compliance with the recognised Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) and International Air Quality Standards (COSHH L5 & BS EN12021:2014 & IS08573-1) defined for compressed air quality in different safety critical applications.

The APA MK2 has an integrated pass/fail logic system like the APA MK3 but requires glass Draeger Consumables to measure Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Oil and Water Vapour. The MK3 price includes the pressure dewpoint sensor whereas this is an option for the MK2.

Our APA MK3 operates with a fully integrated CO and CO2 sensors, which eliminates the need for consumable tubes. This is cost saving because it saves our clients re-purchasing the consumable tubes which can mount up over the life cycle. The only consumable required is the Oil Impactors for Oil Measurement. The MK3 gives you total flexibility to perform air tests electronically but you can also revert back to using draeger tubes if required.

The Safewell APA Mk3 is a high quality safety product and like any safety product it requires effective maintenance, calibration and testing during the product life cycle to maintain the safety performance. The product has been designed for ease of maintenance and Safewell work closely with clients to manage the lifecycle safety of the product including training, spares holding, calibration, service, testing and revalidation.
