The Safewell Safe Pig product provides a range of horizontal pressure receivers manufactured in mild steel or stainless steel with an ATEX certified fully pneumatic automatic water drain fitted for use in fabric maintenance operations.
When air is compressed for breathing and then cooled, free liquid condensate is generated, leaves the compressor and is stored in a pressure tank called a receiver. The receiver provides a means of on load/off load compressor control, air-cooling and air storage.
Liquid condensate accumulates in the receiver and failure to drain it off can lead to water carry over to the air purification barrier causing its performance to deteriorate and an unsafe situation to develop. It has been proven that liquid water can totally inhibit certain of the powders and catalysts used to provide safe air.
