Scottish Water awards new contract to SafeWell

Safewell has been awarded a contract by Scottish Water to install and commission tablet disinfection units on potable water service reservoirs in the Paisley area. This is a follow on from work successfully carried out in 2008 at a number of similar sites in Ayrshire. Scottish Water is committed to Health & Safety and efficiency improvements and the objective of this work is to eliminate gas chlorine and reduce manual handling issues.

The tablet dosing unit is a unique, proven solution for disinfection of potable water service reservoirs using calcium hypochlorite tablets in place of gas chlorine or liquid hypochlorite.
